About Me

Nothing matters to me more than truth, which is my I have made it my life's goal to pursue a persuasive and influential career in investigative journalism to uphold our societal ideals of accountability and justice within criminal, political, and legal veins.

I originally started out my college career with a strong interest in forensic science at ASU in Boone, NC. But I quickly realized that the sciences couldn't pique my interest or inspire passion in me in quite the same way the humanities or social sciences did. I found myself desiring a human connection more than anything else for my future field, and I decided that if I wasn't going to be pursuing justice in a lab setting, I could still pursue it with my words.

I now have an associate's in science from CCC in my hometown of New Bern, NC, am currently in the final stages of a creative writing degree with NC State, and I hope to attend JMU in Harrisonburg, VA, for their writing, rhetoric, and technical communication (WRTC) master's program. I also play the guitar, am a mother to a beautiful, fluffy calico cat, and enjoy far too much coffee with far too much sugar.
